The Birmingham choir had the audience on their feet during their exciting performance on Saturday! Under the direction of their talented leader and composer, Maxine Brooks, the programme included a wonderful range of spiritual songs which filled the Village hall. And they sang with the whole-hearted commitment that comes from a faith-based choir, so that the audience, which included members of the Brighton Gospel choir, could not but share their joy. It is probably the first time a Gospel choir has been in Rottingdean, but judging from the audience response tonight, it won’t be the last!
